Your Application

Prior to beginning the application process, you should make sure you are eligible for the scholarship. In addition to the restrictions found in the body of the application form that apply to all applicants, those applying from the U.S. must be either (1) a resident of the area encompassed by Rotary District 7570 or (2) attending or having graduated from an institution of higher education in the area encompassed by the District. Applicants must be prepared to begin graduate study abroad at the time indicated in the application. The procedure for filing your application is as follows:

U. S. Applicants

Be sure to allow plenty of time to complete the process in order to meet the club’s submission deadline. That deadline will be earlier than the deadline for getting the application to the chair.

Once the club has a complete application, it will contact you to arrange an interview. Following the interview, the club will either reject your application or endorse it and transmit it to the Chair of the District 7570 Scholarship Committee. The latter will inform you of the next step(s) in the process.

Request an appropriate person to fill out the recommendation form provided in the application and either submit it yourself or have that person submit it to the appropriate individual in your sponsoring club.

Request that an official transcript of your undergraduate record be sent to the appropriate individual in your sponsoring club.

Fill in all the required information in the application form and submit it to the appropriate individual in your sponsoring club.

U.S. students must first contact a District 7570 Rotary Club and secure permission to use that club as your sponsor.

International Applicants

Interested international students applying from their native country for graduate study in the U. S. at an institution of higher education located within the geographical boundaries of District 7570 should contact the Chair of the District 7570 Scholarship Committee, Kathy Napier, for information about applying for the scholarship.
